- Receive customer call—always answered or returned the same day by the owner, Dave Mackle
- Visit job within 48 hours to review scope of project with customer
- Arrange contract for drawings to be completed if necessary, or provide preliminary cost estimate
- Review finished drawings
- Prepare cost estimate in detailed spreadsheet, specifying alls costs, overhead, and profit
- Submit drawings to planning and building departments as necessary
- Meet with homeowner to review details and fine tune remaining items
- Homeowner receives contract which includes project dates, payment schedule, details of what is included, as well as what is not included
- Contractor obtains building permit
- Begin site preparation; start building process
